Visit of the Finnish delegation to IRIS & ISTT
A finish delegation of 12 top level representatives including Mr. Matti Anttonen, under Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, and also H.E. Mr. Harri Kämäräinen, Ambassador of Finland in Tehran, visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town on the 28th of October 2015. Upon their arrival the delegation first attended a meeting with the management team of ISTT and IRIS. In this meeting ISTT president Dr. Keshmiri welcomed the Finnish delegation to Isfahan and ISTT, and also voiced his desire in creating a long lasting working relationship between ISTT and its tenant companies, with the Finnish board of representatives and the many established companies of Finland which they represent. After welcoming the delegation a short introduction of ISTT and its international activities within the capacity of IRIS was presented. In response of which, Mr. Anttonen expressed his gratitude for the invitation to visit ISTT and IRIS with his companions, and also explained the changing dynamics of the work environment in Finland from a traditional economy based on foresting and wood and paper mills, to a high-tech and innovative environment following worldwide trends and changes in consumption. Mr. Anttonen continued that with this in mind, they too hope to cultivate a productive and prosperous relationship with ISTT. Other subjects, including the Slush event which takes place in Helsinki and in which ISTT is sending a number of this year’s winners of the Sheikh Baha’i Technopreneurship festival, the possible Finnish participation in next year’s Sheikh Baha’i Festival, and also a return visit of this delegation to Iran alongside another 100 or more industry and business level representatives in December, were amongst the subjects discussed during this meeting. Upon the conclusion of this meeting a visit tour of some of ISTT’s tenant companies was arranged to help illustrate the existing infrastructure and future potential of the companies established in ISTT. The Finnish delegation was greatly impressed by this tour.
