IRIS Organized an Orientation Tour to the Bremen Region of Germany
In continuation to the visit made to Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development under the auspices of UNESCO (IRIS), by a delegation of business men and women from the Bremen region of Germany in February 2016, eighteen representatives from the settled companies of a number of Science and Technology Parks around Iran including ISTT, Yazd (YSTP), Mazandaran (MSTP), and Zanjan (ZSTP) participated in an orientation tour of Bremen. This tour which was organized by IRIS, helped to introduce the wide range of industries indigenous to the Bremen region including Automobile Manufacturing, Aerospace and Aviation, Renewable Energy, Life sciences, Logistics and Shipping, and create the opportunity to strengthen already established ties for potential future collaborations. Many meetings and tours had been organized for the delegation beforehand including a meeting at the chamber of commerce, and with the officials of the Bremen Science and Technology Park. During these meetings, the representatives of IRIS, who were accompanying this delegation, took the opportunity to help promote ISTT and IRIS itself and develop the communication and working network between the two science parks. The delegation participated on tours to the OMNILAB complex, Bremen Aerospace center, BEGO complex in the University of Bremen, etc. Feedback attained from the tour participants suggested their satisfaction and favorable outlook towards future cooperation.
Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubators and Science Park Development was established in Isfahan in May 2010 according to an agreement between Islamic Republic of Iran and UNESCO. Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) is the host for this regional center.
